Today, R&B newcomer Young Rog releases the music video to his new single “Destiny” that just released on last week from his debut album The Boy Next Door.
“Destiny” opens with Young Rog relaxing in bed receiving a text invite to the local skating rink. The following message reveals that his love-interest ‘Destiny’ will be at the rink and he immediately heads out the door.
Upon arrival, it appears that she is on a date with someone else, but Rog continues to gain her attention showing his desire for her as he raps, “Shawty all I need is your love, wrapped around me, trapped around me.” Destiny’s date notices her attention on Rog as she gazes and laughs at his jokes, and leaves in anger.
Shortly after, she proceeds to skate toward Rog, answering his love call, and responds, “And I know you like it, when my legs in the air.” The frame closes in spotlighting Destiny, emphasizing that all Rog sees and wants at the crowded rink is her. The chemistry builds between the two as she begins to levitate in the air causing shock and awe by everyone at the rink.
