Usually I sit here and try to think of write-ups for everything I pose here at HomeGrown but some moments are best explained by the artist himself. So without further ado, here’s Thurz on his REVOLTLive experience….
“With the release of my latest project, the “Designer EP,” I was invited out to interview and perform at the Revolt TV studio in Hollywood for #REVOLTLive. I recorded my project with a lot of great musicians and producers ranging from DJ Dahi, DJ Battlecat, Andrew Gouche (Bass Guitarist for Prince), Aaron Harris, Rahki (Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent), Marlon and more. With the new sound reminiscent of your favorite funk and soul records, yet futuristic in it’s own world, I wanted to bring that same flavor to the stage at Revolt to show the world what I’ve been working on and present it in it’s purest form. I brought friends and collaborators OverDoz and DJ Battlecat to add some LA flavor and help display the community that’s needed in our culture”
