The emerging storyteller, Jay IDK, has minds working overtime with the release of his Subtrap debut. More so in the case of “What message is being relayed beneath the surface of this trap-infused sonic affair?” That’s just exactly what “trap music with substance” is supposed to do. A thorough student of the art, Jay recreated narratives reflective of the drug and street culture; however, didn’t forgo to instinctively assemble wordplay and knowledge into his work.
The DMV come up returns to deliver visuals using “God Said Trap” ft. Ash Riser and “We All Da Same.” Presented as a Subtrap short film, “The Seller & The User,” follows King Trappy (Jay’s alter ego, the drug lord) and Ed (the crack addict) about their usual day. Take a sneak peek below.
