Tim Aspan Ft. Peter $un – “Smells Like Sunflowers”

An ode to those overcoming their current struggles.

Hailing from just outside Chicago, Tim Aspan is dully noted as a textbook bedroom producer. The 16-year-old visionary deciphers his creative environment as “his laptop and a couch.” Sparking inspiration from the “Goofy Goober Rock” number, he began producing in the 8th grade, learning the in’s and out’s of Ableton, persistent became his only vocabulary. Drawing from genres ranging from R&B to future bass, Tim is quickly formulating a distinct sound. Enter “Smells Like Sunflowers.”

Nabbing Richmond, VA wordsmith Peter $un, Aspan debuts his latest sonic endeavor(s) with melancholy keys that hit the soul. Serving as the first in a series of uploads that will showcase his abilities, the starting creative does no wrong in the empathetic melody, as Peter details his intertwined sentiments. While taking a stroll down obstacle lane, both artists try to find a silver lining through a cathartic release, evident in their musical chemistry. Sample credits dubbed to Daniel Caesar on “Chevalier,” and mastering was completed by Blake La Grange.
